Acropolis (Acro)
A Main Map designated for socializing and uploads of Social Dreams.

AFK
Away From Keyboard. Meant to indicate that a user is temporarily not looking at their screen.

Allegria Island (AI)
The oldest upload Main Map in Furcadia, designated for Persona Play and Socializing.

Alt
1. Short for Alternate Character. Used when referring to a character other than the one you are currently on, or one other than your Main Character.
2. The Alt key on a keyboard, one is located to each side of the spacebar on a standard keyboard, not present on the iPhone.

Anthropomorphic (Anthro)
Refers to objects or animals that are given human characteristics. Most often referred to, in Furcadia, as animals that walk on two legs and speak.

Associates
Employees of DEP, these furres work on the running and development of Furcadia directly. Associates are not Beekin Volunteers, however sometimes they are assigned to supervise a Beekin volunteer group where they are known as an Associates In Charge (AIC).

Avatar (Avie)
The visual representation of your Character in Furcadia. Sometimes referred to as the walk-about or toon.

Backstory
1. The Story that describes the events that happened to your character before they joined a Continuity. Often used as justification and motivation for behaviors, quirks, and items your character possesses.
2. The official story of the Dragonlands, the background and setting for the default IC Continuity in Furcadia.

Banish
1. The Dream Owner command used to permanently remove a furre from their Dream. To use, type banish and then their name and hit enter. This removes the character and prevents them or any of their alts from entering your dream.
2. The act of using the banish command. (I banished him for being mean.)

Beekin
1. Beekin the Help Dragon, one of the Primes in the official backstory, responsible for guiding souls to the Dreaming World of Furcadia.
2. A volunteer in the Beekin Help Program: Furcadia's official group of volunteers that help furres in their time in Furcadia.

Bugge
1. A race of anthropomorphic insect in the official backstory.
2. A member of the Beekin Bugge Hunters, volunteer trouble shooters and technical support for Furcadia.

Build-A-Home (BaH)
Player Dreams characterized by the patrons ability to get a house, garden or apartment and decorate it how they want not using the editors. Often a good starting place for newfurres.

Challenges
A Main Map dedicated to games and puzzles, and game Dreams.

Character
A combination of your avatar, backstory, portrait, Digos and the personality you project through your interactions and Roleplay with others.

Consent Rule
Stated simply: 'If someone says something that you do not like, that affects your character, you may choose to ignore that action.' In other words, they cannot control you or your character without your consent.

Cookies
A special type of desctag. Cookies can be given to others, eaten or used in the Cookie Economy. You are given 3 free cookies a day. For more on cookies see the section of this FAQ dedicated to them.

Cookie Economy
A trading system that allows you to take cookies and spend them in or earn them from Dreams. The cookie economy started in the spring of 2009.

Creator
There are 4 Creators: Felorin, Talzhemir, Fox and Emerald Flame. These furres are the owners of DEP and the directors of Furcadia's development.

Default (Patch)
Usually refers to the Default art or patches for Furcadia. This is the items, floors, walls, avatars, skins, etc. that come with the game when you download it and are free to use or modify as you wish for use in Furcadia.

Description (Desc)
The text that is shown when someone looks at you on Furcadia. Most commonly used for a physical description, personal links, shout-outs to friends, or conveying a message to the reader.

Desctag
1. Small graphics that appear at the end of your description. Desctags can be for items you've been given, can give away or have bought/earned while playing Furcadia.
2. Refers to specific desctags that can be purchased on Digo Market such as throwable pillows and pies, muffins, pizzas and other edibles as well as items like wedding rings and friendship bracelets.

Digo
A slang term for the custom avatars and items you can purchase from Digo Market.

Digo Market
1.The official website where you can purchase all available enhancements for your character, as well as gifts for other Furcadians, using DragonScales, credit cards, Paypal or other payment methods. Visit the Digomarket through Digomarket.com
