The small, independent company that produces and maintains Furcadia. Located in Austin, Texas.

Dragonlands
The official backstory or 'continuity' of Furcadia. The default IC setting.

DragonScales
Gift-vouchers: sometimes considered the official currency of Furcadia. DragonScales come in three forms: Gold DragonScales or GD (worth 1USD), Silver DragonScales or SD (worth 0.10USD) and Copper DragonScales or CD (worth 0.01USD) all of which are collectively referred to as 'Scales'. DragonScales are purchased from www.digomarket.com.

DragonSpeak
Furcadia's proprietary scripting language created by Dr. Cat(Felorin). DragonSpeak is used to create effects in dreams, from simple teleportation to elaborate games.

Dream
A Furcadia map, often used to refer to a player-created map, that is uploaded to the game using Furcadia for Windows. Main Maps are also Dreams. Main Map Dreams are public, like a park. Player-made Dreams are more like someone's home or business.

Dream Editor (DreamEd)
The free editing tool included with Furcadia for Windows. Uses a simple point and click interface for creating custom maps quickly and efficiently.

Dream Hopping
A common Furcadia pastime where an individual or group travels randomly from Dream to Dream looking for interesting sights, Roleplay, and new friends.

Dream Owner
The uploader and manager of a Dream. Possesses special tools for taking care of their Dream such as banish, eject and the ability to control who can upload from within the Dream. The Dream Owner has final say on all matters within their Dream that do not break the Furcadia Terms of Service.

Dream Package
A group of extra perks you can buy to make your Dreams work better for Groups. These perks include things like saved upload location, larger Dream space, more cookies, more DS and PS space, special red portals and more.

Dream Portals
The distinctive glowing circles on Upload Maps that lead to a dream when walked into. Uploaded Dream Portals come in three main types: Common green portals, blue Silver Sponsor portals, and red Dream Package portals. Many Main Map Portals look like little gazebos.

Dream Standards
Furcadia Dream Standards tell what the expected behavior is in a map or Dream. Most of Furcadia falls under the Teen+ Standard with a few areas under the more strict E8+ Standard. iPhone and iTouch users cannot enter Dreams with standards higher than T+.

Dream URLs
Furcadia specific links that can transport you directly to the Dream the url is written for by clicking the link. Usually a slightly different color from web links and always start with furc://.

Eject
A Dream Owner and shared user command that removes a furre from their Dream. Less final than banish, eject is handy for making a point, stopping an argument or moving an idle furre who is blocking something. DragonSpeak can also be used to eject from your Dream.

Entry Text
The message that appears when you first enter a Dream or Main Map. Usually a welcome, some information, or helpful hints as to what the Dream contains.

Feral RP
A genre of Roleplay in which the primary characters are 4-legged, non-anthropomorphic animals, most often wolves, large cats, or horses.

Ferian
A class of Furcadian character that walks on all fours like a feral animal. Can also refer to non-anthro birds and other species.

Festival Grounds
The Main Map where the annual Festivals are held. Although the basic layout is the same for most festivals, the overall look can vary from Egyptian Nile delta, to spooky bayou to green garden depending on the season and Festival.

For Life
A term used to classify Digo Market items that never expire. For Life items cost approximately the same as purchasing the item for 5 years. Given Furcadia's longevity many for-life items have already proven to be a smart investment.

Fox Editor
The free graphic editor included with Furcadia for Windows. Can be used to create items, floors, avatars, and walls for your Dream in a simple to use 2D format. Also used to create interface skins and portraits.

FST
Furcadia Standard Time. The same as Central Time in the US. (GMT-06:00) This is the same time zone as the one the Furcadia servers are located in.

Furre (Pronounced "fur")
1. Refers to an anthropomorphic avatar in Furcadia(as opposed to Ferian).
2. Another name for your Character.
3. A common Furcadia pronoun referring to a player of Furcadia.

GD
Golden DragonScales, used for purchasing character enhancements on Digo Market. Additional DragonScales may be purchased from DigoMarket.com

Gettable
Describes an object in Furcadia that can be picked up and put down.

Gifts
1. A proud tradition in Furcadia that can include the giving of Digos, Dreams, cookies, help, etc. There are special commands to "gift" Furcadia Digos to each other.
2. A class of desctags on Digo Market that allow you to send a message with them when you give them out. These include roses, bouquets, swords, magic wands, etc.

Guardians
A Beekin volunteer specially screened and provided with extra training to enforce the rules of Furcadia. Guardians do not police in private Dreams. For questions about Guardians you can email guardians@furcadia.com.

Hawthorn
A rougher Main Map for furres to explore more violent Roleplay and crude language under the M16+ Standard. Adult only social Dreams are often located here as well. This area is not accessible through the iPhone.

Help Center
A place located in Naia Green where you can find Beekin Volunteers and other helpful furres who are willing to answer any questions you might have.

Help Channel
Where your question is sent when you use the Live Help screen. The Beekin Helpers will answer your question or transfer you to a Specialist Beekin who can.

Helpers
The general Beekin Volunteer Group that you will talk to when calling on the Live Help screen, the Help Channel or visiting the Help Center.
