A Digo usually refers to the premium avatars and items you can purchase on Digo Market. Sometimes people refer to anything you can get on Digo Market as a Digo and sometimes they only call avatars Digos. |
How do I buy stuff? | |
There are two ways to get Digos. Within iPhone Furcadia purchases can be made with DragonScales. On the web at the Digomarket, you may purchase additional DragonScales or a wider variety of premium avatars, services and gifts using DragonScales or several other payment methods. Scales can be traded to other players in Furcadia for services, such as custom portrait commissions. |
Why can I only buy with Scales on the iPhone?
We may be able to offer other payment methods in the future. For now, this is a quick and fun way for you to shop for upgrades to your Character. |
How do I tell how many Scales I have?
You can see how many Scales are on your Character by looking at the top right corner on the Digo Market Tab. The amount is indicated in the USD style with the Golden DragonScale symbol. For instance: 13.52 would mean you have $13.52 worth of Scales, or 13 Golden, 5 Silver and 2 Copper Scales. |
How do I get more DragonScales?
You can go to Digo Market on the webpage and use a credit card, PayPal account or other purchase method to buy them online. What are desctags?
Desctags are specialty gifts and trinkets you can get for friends or yourself. They show up as icons in your description. In the gift category there are roses of several colors, a flower bouquet, two kinds of swords, a magic wand, snugs and various seasonal items. There are also food items such as cookies, muffins, hot cuppas, cake, and pizza that you can give out to friends. Some desctags like pillows and pies can be "thrown" at other furres for fun. Then there are other desctags you can get with special offers or in contests like Pirates vs Ninjas. There are very many types of desctags to collect, share and use! |
How do I give desctags? | |
Desctags are given out with typed commands such as give-cookie Felorin. The gift desctags can have a message attached to them when you give them. Other tags like muffins come in a stack and you give them out one at a time. A few tags like cake and pizza you give only once and everyone you can see at the time gets a tag! You can see a full version of the commands to give these here or on the items description on Digo Market. |
Why did my desctag go away?
Except for wedding rings, all desctags last a specific amount of time and then disappear. You can check for how long they last on the products description on Digo Market. After all, who wants 3 week old pizza in their description? |
What is a Portrait Space?
A Portrait Space is a slot for you to put art of your character in. Once you fill the Space, other furres can see the art that represents your character. You can have multiple of these spaces both filled and unfilled on any one Character. You can trade spaces with each other when they are empty but once filled with art they stay put. You can have over 50 filled spaces with artwork for your character to show to everyone. More information on portraits can be found: Here |
Where do I get art for my portrait?
You can draw your own art for the Space, use free art found on the net that you have permission to use, or even put in photographs. You can also commission talented artists on Furcadia to draw a custom, color-changing portrait of your Character. You can find some of them using our Forums. Portraits must be 95x95 pixels in size and you can have them "remapping" or in full color. Make sure your portrait meets the guidelines to get it approved. |
What is a Silver Sponsor?
A Silver Sponsor (SS) is a furre who has made an extra commitment to help support Furcadia by paying a $5/month subscription. In return they get a list of perks that include having a larger, blue dream portal instead of the default green one, access to the `cuddle command, two extra Local Species in their dreams and first access to any new features Furcadia develops. This includes sneak peeks on their own Sponsorship forum! |
What are Package Deals?
Package deals are special collections of items available on Digo Market for a discount. Unlike the Special Offers available weekly and seasonally throughout the year package deals are available all the time! This includes packages like the Wedding Package or the sought after Dream Package. A Dream Package is similar to Silver Sponsorship at first glance, but while SS is designed to enhance a single Character a Dream Package is designed to give a Dream Owner additional tools to make a better Dream for a large group. These features include features such as a large, bright, red dream portal that doesn't automatically unload, additional PhoenixSpeak and DragonSpeak space for a more feature-full dream, more Local Species, larger Dream size, and special Rah and Taneest desctags to show who runs the dream. |
How do I get the specials in ads?
Every so often you may see an advertisement pop up in the text screen. Sometimes the specials advertised will be available on the Digo Market tab, but more often you will have to close Furcadia and open Safari to take advantage of these exceptional deals. Seasonal specials may include seasonal avatars not available for most of the year, or seasonably-appropriate discounts on normal avatars. There are also weekly sales offering some of the best deals Furcadia has! There are even rumors of rare 'one day' sales that offer huge savings of 40-50% off select items. |
What is a For Life item? | |
For Life Digos are ones that never expire. Some items, like Portrait Spaces, never expire. but for expiring Digos there is always the For Life version. A For Life item costs the same as purchasing an expiring item for five years, but never expires. This may seem high at first glance, but when you consider that Furcadia has been around for over a decade many "Lifer" owners have received many times their money's worth from the purchase of For Life items. Purchasing For Life items directly from Digo Market puts your Character's name on the Furcadia Thank You page, and some of them even come with special "For-Life" certificates. |
What is a Subscription?
On the web version of Digo Market you have the option to pay a small amount each month on some of our more expensive avatars. These avatars automatically renew each month so you don't need to remember to pay Scales for them. Silver Sponsorship and Dream Packages are also subscription items. |
Can I get gifts for others?
You can buy Digo gifts for friends on the web Digo Market! Just fill in their name instead of yours when filling out the order form. Keep in mind that while items are transferable right after purchase, most items have a wait time for additional transfers. |
Where did my Digos go? | |
Most items you buy on the Digo Market Tab only last a month. If you want ones that renew monthly or last longer you can go to digomarket.com. How do I get help with orders?
You can use the ticket system linked from the Help Button on the Digo Market Tab or get simple questions answered on the Digo Market forum. It is not recommended that you ask orders questions from Beekin Volunteers in the game as they do not have access to order information. |
Why do Digos cost money?
The company that produces Furcadia, Dragon's Eye Productions, is a very small, independent game company that is funded completely by Digo Market sales. More sales means exciting new features added to the game, better customer service and more fun things to do in Furcadia. Without Digo sales, there could be no Furcadia! |
What is the money from Digos used for?
The money from Digos is used to operate the game and create new features and content. Operation cost such as servers, bandwidth and human resource expenses take up a huge amount of the money needed to operate the game. What is left over is put into the development of new features, graphics, support systems, maps and new client platforms such as the iPhone client. Furcadia tends to have frequent small updates and several larger ones each year. |
Did I see a flying toaster?
On April first of each year the Toasterwings emerge. It is said these intrepid appliances were formed when a Kitterwing was working on his tan and got stuck. As will often happen in the spring, they breed like flies. Now they are popping up all over Furcadia! |
