How do you play Kitchen Khaos? | |
Kitchen Khaos is a fast-paced, multi-player, competitive game of cooking food and filling orders. To join a game talk to NPC Grannyfurre, she'll either sign you up for the next game or put your name in a queue to play later. Once it's your turn to play you will be teleported into the kitchen. The basic idea is to fill orders by bumping storage areas to get food, bumping appliances to upgrade the food, and then serving it. You can see what you're holding in the Finger Bar. Deliver as fast as you can to make enough points to win! If you want to leave during the game, just walk out the door and you will get your cookies back. Spoiler Alert! Part of the fun of Kitchen Khaos is learning as you play. However, some furres like to know what to do ahead of time, so we will give a few hints here. Following are some of the recipes! If you need to get rid of anything, you can drop it in the sink, this includes dirty dishes. What is there to do in the Lake Resort? | |
The Lake Resort Dreams were designed as a start area for new players. Not only are there many areas to sit and chat with new friends-- but there are also games and information to teach you about how to play Furcadia. You can read the signs by bumping into them and learn a lot of useful information. There are various games around the Dream to play, like fishing, Kitchen Khaos, Muffy's Mushroom Hunt and Roland's Races! Just explore, enjoy and make new friends! |
What are Conversation Starters? | |
Most of the seats around the Dream have what are called "Conversation Starter words" scripted in. You can press the Use and Get buttons to choose what topic you'd like to talk about, or give a hint about your personality. Other furres know that when you have one of these words overhead, you are ready to chat. |
How do I get more cookies here? | |
You start out each day with three cookies, and can use these to play the games around Lake Resort. If you win the games, you will win more cookies. If you run out though, you can always talk to NPC Gale. He will lend you a fishing pole to get more cookies with. You can also get one cookie each day by reading the signs and finding the Primes! |
How do I catch fish? | |
To start fishing, pay a cookie to NPC Gale for a fishing pole. While holding the pole, sit facing the lake and tap the Use Button to cast your line. Watch the bobber to see when you get a bite. Then tap the Use Button again to try to hook the fish. If you catch a big enough fish, it will give you a cookie to let it go! If you lose track of your fishing pole while playing other games, NPC Gale may have found it for you. Just ask him! |
Can I fish for free? | |
NPC Gale will lend you a free pole to fish with, but it only lasts for five minutes. You should be able to catch a fish during this time, to pay him for a better pole that won't go away! |
What are the Lily pads for? | |
When you walk out onto the lake a lovely, floating lily pad will rise up under your feet. Turn to face any direction you want, and the lily pad will float that way, carrying you along. You can get to the island in the middle of the lake, or just have fun bobbing around with friends! |
How do you play chess/checkers? | |
To start a game of chess or checkers, simply pick up one of the playing pieces. You'll be asked to bump into another player to choose them as your playing partner. Once you start a game, no one else can move your game pieces around. You can also bump people out of your way. Play the game as you and your partner agree upon. If you want to stop playing, just walk away from the board and it will reset for someone else. If you disconnect, your place in the game will be saved for a few minutes so you can come back and continue. |
How do you play Mushroom Hunt? | |
In Muffy's Mushroom Hunt, up to 20 furres can play. After bumping Muffy to start a new game, just choose a team by moving into a blue or purple flashing square. When the game starts, run around to find mushrooms all over the Dream. Tap the Get Button on the Finger Bar to pick up mushrooms. Tap the Drop Button to leave them near Muffy to score points. Each type of mushroom is worth different points. Turfcap Mushrooms are worth 3 points, Blue Dreamer Mushrooms are worth 4 points, Mint Button Mushrooms are worth 6 points, and Ruby Crown Mushrooms are worth 10 points! There's no way to leave the game while it is active, so don't let your team down! Everyone on the team with the most points gets 2 cookies at the end! |
How do you cart race? | |
Roland's Races are two-furre team cart races! Up to five teams can race at once. Bump NPC Roland to start a race and then walk onto the track. One furre (the rider) sits on the cart and the other furre (the pusher) bumps into the back to push it forward. If you do not have a partner, NPC Daisy will pair you up before the race begins. Listen close for NPC Daisy to start the count down. The pusher taps the SouthEast Movement Button as fast as they can to be the first across the finish line! The winning team splits all the cookies from the entry fees! |
What is the transmogrifier? | |
Dr. Trazdiggle's Transmogrifier gives you wonderful little prizes for a cookie! Just bump into this amazing machine and toss a cookie in the top. A random prize will appear in your paws. Be sure to play a bit with the prize to see what it might do! You can drop your prize someplace if you no longer want it, or pay another cookie to try for something else. If lose your prize during the Dream Day, the Transmogrifier will give it back to you! |
What's in the maze? | |
Saligor's Maze is full of twists, turns, hidden passages and teleports! Finding your way through is a lot of fun and can help you learn the movement controls. If you are missing one of the Primes, this might be a good place to look. Be sure to bump into everything to find hidden secrets! |
How often do the tower rooms unlock? | |
The Tower has four floors and a roof, all with slightly different themes. The lockable upper floors give a chance for groups to meet in privacy. If a floor is locked, you will automatically climb past it to the next unlocked floor. Rooms remain locked for 30 minutes when there are furres inside, or unlock immediately if everyone leaves. Be sure to bump the objects in the rooms to learn even more about Furcadia! |
How do you find signs and Primes? | |
Once each Dream Day you can earn a cookie by reading all 8 signs and visiting the five Prime Statues in Lake Resort. Each one of these gives you helpful information about Furcadia, especially good for new players. There is one sign at each of the eight Vinca landing spots around the Lake. The Prime statues you will need to hunt for! |
What does NPC mean? | |
NPC stands for Non-Player Character. They are scripted avatars with no live person running them. They can only respond with their pre-programmed text according to your actions. They often are used to let you know more about games and quests in Furcadia. |
When does a Dream Day mean? | |
In Lake Resort, many things reset once a day. We call this the Dream Day. While the time frame of a Dream Day may vary in other dreams, in Lake Resort it is 24 hours and resets at 5 am FST, the same time as your cookies reset. |
How do I get back to Lake Resort? | |
If you go through a portal or tap a button that takes you away from Lake Resort, you can return by opening the Maps Screen and tapping the "Last Map" button at the top left corner. If you've navigated more than one Dream away from Lake Resort, you can use the Lake Resort Button on the Maps Screen to get back. There are multiple Lake Resorts in Furcadia, but you'll automatically return to the last one you were in, most of the time. If your friend is in a different Resort, use the Join button to go to them. |
There's more than one Lake Resort? | |
There are ten "flavors" of Lake Resort: Vanilla, Grape, Cherry Mango, Mint, Banana, Pongo, Blueberry, Slushie and Chocolate. To manage population density, you may enter in any of these randomly. If you are entering for the first time on the PC or Mac, you will go to Pineapple Lake Resort, which has instructions on how to play while connecting from your computer. |
Which Lake Resort am I in? | |
You can tell which Lake Resort you are in by reading it from the Entry Text, or checking the color of floor tiles and seats around the Dream. To re-enter Lake Resort and read the Entry Text press the Previous Map Button twice. This works for any Dream you are in. |
Do fish give you soggy cookies? | |
Not a chance! Shimmering dealer-fish take their cookie deals very seriously and soggy cookies are bad business! |
